I’m honoured to have contributed a chapter to an excellent new book – Rally: Communal Prayers for Lovers of Jesus and Justice– ed. Britney Winn Lee (foreword by Shane Claiborne), Upper Room, 2020.
It’s an amazing book, and if you went to Evolving Faith Conference I guarantee you will love this. When you are frustrated and despairing at societal injustice and need to vent or feel like you’re doing SOMETHING, it can be hard to know what to pray.
This collection of written prayers give you the language and space to do just that.
These formal prayers of lament, repentance and blessing are also designed to be said aloud and used in corporate worship, so you can use them in your churches and small groups.
It can be so powerful for a worshipping community to pray these things together.

EVOLVING FAITH 2020
In other news – I was a keynote speaker Evolving Faith, 2020, which had 7500+ participants online.
It is a wonderful conference to be a part of, with some truly excellent speakers, particularly for those who identify as post-evangelical or spiritual wanderers.
Although it’s over, all of the full sessions are recorded and you can stream them and work through all the sessions in your own time until April 2020, for only $99 (which also gives you entry into a Facebook community for others on the journey.
Without wanting to blow my own trumpet, my talk was really well-received – on subjunctive grief and how to deal with it, so if you’d like to hear that, I’d love it if you enrolled and let me know what you thought of it.
